Ship traffic and fishing to be prohibited temporarily
On the day of the third launch of the Korean space rocket Nuri, ships will be temporarily banned from sailing and fishing in the waters off of Goheung County and Yeosu City.
According to the Yeosu Maritime Police Station, the third launch of the Nuri rocket is scheduled to take place at the Naro Space Center today at around 6:20 p.m.
Prior to the launch of Nuri, there will be restrictions on maritime traffic and operations in the surrounding areas of the launch pad and along the flight path.
The maritime control zone includes the area within a 3-kilometer radius from the center of the Naro Space Center's launch pad and the areas along the flight path of the rocket.
The maritime police will be deployed to the control zone in different areas for safety management 12 hours before the launch.
Starting from 2 hours before the launch, maritime traffic within the control zone will be prohibited.
