Respected and dear listeners! GGN Global Gwangju Network(formerly Gwangju Foreign Language Network) is fulfilling its role and responsibility as the only foreign language broadcasting company in Honam.

In the meantime, Global Gwangju Network has been recognized for its production capabilities, such as being selected for a production support contest and winning prestigious broadcasting awards. It has enhanced its status as a public broadcaster by exchanging with international broadcasters, providing bilingual broadcasting, AI news production, providing media services through new media platforms, and providing disaster broadcasting services specializing in foreign languages.

With the new vision of ‘global broadcasting trusted by listeners’, we promise to get closer to our listeners through 12 strategic tasks.

First, ‘listeners first’ will continue. We will be reborn as a GGN of the listener broadcasting for the listener, by the listener, and for the listener. We will increase listener accessibility by increasing interactive programs produced by producers and listeners, and expanding bilingual broadcasting. We will leap forward as a global broadcaster by laying the groundwork for exchange and cooperation with Asian bilingual broadcasters.

The second is strengthening ‘broadcasting competitiveness’. We will expand practical exchanges such as program co-production and business cooperation with overseas broadcasters. We will strengthen the joint production system and produce new contents such as special broadcasts through the council of three foreign language broadcasting companies such as Seoul TBS and Busan English Broadcasting. We will increase artificial intelligence-based AI news production and stabilize the digital broadcasting system.

Third, we will develop the ‘core competency of the organization’. We will strengthen our innovation capabilities along with establishing a new vision according to the GGN mid- to long-term development strategy. We will systematize job training for planning and innovation and establish a business inspection and feedback system. We will create a fair and reasonable organizational culture and strengthen communication. We will establish a transparent and sustainable management system by introducing the ESG management system.
