Mokpo City held a briefing session on the smart city establishment plan on the 22nd in an effort to secure a smart city foundation in earnest.
The purpose of the smart city project is to create a sustainable city that provides various urban services by combining construction, information, and communication technologies to improve the competitiveness of cities and the quality of life of citizens.
The city said it plans to establish an annual action plan by setting its specialized vision and goals through mid-to-long term smart city plans over the next five years, and to create customized smart services for citizens' safety and convenience.
